Master Vithal
Master Vithal ( Vithal actually Raghunath, * 1906, † 1969) was an Indian film actor of the Maratha and the Hindi film.
Life
He made his stage debut as a child at a Rajapurkar Natak Mandali. His first work in film, he got as a technician at Baburao Painter's Maharashtra Film Society movie in Kolhapur. In the film Kalyan Khajina Vithal in 1924, directed by Baburao Painter made his film debut as an actor, he played a dancer. In the 1920s he became the star of Sharda Studios, where he in 1925 - often Anand Prasad Kapoor and Harshadrai Mehta, directed by Studio founder Nanubhai Desai, and - occurred in stunt rich historical films in Douglas Fairbanks - style. His first leading role he played in Ratan Manjari ( 1926).
1930 moved to the newly formed film company Vithal Sagar in Bombay. The following year he starred with Zubeida starred in the first sound film Alam Ara India. From the 1940s he became a regular in movies of Lalita Pawar Bhalji Pendharkar with or Durga Khote. In the end he only played supporting roles in films Maratha; he had his last film appearance in 1966.
