Mastercraft

Mastercraft is a manufacturer of motor boats based in Vonore, Tennessee, USA. The company is a market leader in the field of water ski and wakeboard boats. It sells boats in more than 30 different countries and employs more than 120 dealers in the U.S. and internationally.

History

Mastercraft was founded in 1968. The first ski boat developed the owners of their dissatisfaction with the available boats out in a horse stable in Maryville, Tennessee. In the first year of its existence only twelve boats were manufactured.

Today, over 40 years later, year after year are produced and sold thousands of boats for water skiing, wakeboarding and in the luxury segment. Mastercraft maintains for a manufacturing facility in Vonore, Tennessee, where over 560 people are employed.

In 2007, MasterCraft has been taken over by financial investors. At the beginning of 2010, in turn, could be acquired Hydra-Sports, end of October 2010 could begin production.
