Mastoureh Ardalan

Mastura Ardalan (Kurdish: Mestûre Erdelan; * 1805 in Sanandaj, † 1848 Mah Sharaf Khanom 's full name Mastoureh Ardalan ) was a Kurdish poet and writer from Iran.

Life

Mastura Ardalan came into Senna at the world and grew up in Sulaymaniyah. She was a member of the feudal aristocracy in the principality of Ardalan. She studied Kurdish, Arabic and Persian under the guidance of her father Abolhasan Beig Qadiri. Her husband was Khasraw Khani Ardalan, the Prince of Ardalan. After the death of her husband, the Principality of Ardalan was very vulnerable and was incorporated in the 18th century by the Qajars in the central state. Mastura Ardalan fled with her family to the Baban, while her son Reza Qulikhan was captured by the Qajars.

Effect and ceremony

She wrote several books about poetry, history and literature. Mainly she wrote on Hewramani or Gorani and in Persian. Mastura Ardalan is considered the only female historian of the Middle East until the 19th century. She wrote, for example, about the history of the Principality of Ardalan. Your 200th birthday was celebrated from 11th to 15th December 2005 a festival in Hewler. There, a statue was unveiled by her.
