Masumi Itō

Masumi Itō (Japanese伊藤 真澄, Itō Masumi, born May 21, 19xx in Ibaraki Prefecture as Masumi Nitta (新 田 真澄, Nitta Masumi ) ) is a Japanese singer-songwriter and composer.

Biography

With 6 years Masumi Ito began to play the piano. Originally she wanted to become a classical pianist, but went after she had heard YMO. Towards jazz, rock, punk and other contemporary music She was also heavily influenced by Kate Bush. At the height of the New Wave, she turned the then modern " organic music " too.

She graduated in the piano department at the Musashino Academia Musicae.

While they used the name Masumi Itō as a singer, she used for compositions of instrumental pieces in Anime Soundtracks Hikaru Nanase the pseudonym (七 瀬 光, Nanase Hikaru ). From this she was involved in more than 1000 pieces.

She was a member of several groups, such as Ikuru (イキル), midori, AQUA VOCE (along with Yōko Ueno, Megumi Maruo and Reichi ), Oranges & Lemons (along with Yōko Ueno ), Mariaria (along with Isako Saneyoshi ) and Heart of Air

Masumi Itō is married to music producer Yoshiyuki Itō (伊藤 善 之, Yoshiyuki Itō ) and is available at Lantis under contract.
