Mātariśvan

Matarishvan (Sanskrit मातरिश्वन् Matarisvan m. ) Is in Vedic mythology, the messenger of the Vivasvat. After the Rigveda he robbed the hidden fire from heaven and brought it to the sage Bhrigu. Sometimes he is but also equated with the fire god Agni. Later it could be regarded as wind.
