Máté Lékai

Máté Lékai [ ma ː te ː le ː kɒ.i ] ( born June 19, 1988 in Budapest) is a Hungarian handball player.

The 1.90 meter tall and 82 kilogram medium back player stands since 2012 RK Celje under contract. 2013 and 2014 he won the Slovenian Cup with Celje. In the EHF Champions League he reached in 2012/13 and 2013/14 respectively the knockout stages. With Pler KC Budapest, he played in the EHF Cup ( seasons 2006 / 07, 2009/10) and in the European Cup Winners' Cup (2005/ 06, 2007/ 08, 2008/ 09). In 2010 he moved to Pick Szeged and participated in two seasons of the Champions League. For the 2014/15 season he moved to the Hungarian giants KC Veszprém.

Máté Lékai threw in 65 international games for the Hungarian national team 127 goals (as of December 2013); he stood in the squad Hungary for the European Handball Championship in 2010 and 2014. During summer 2012, he participated in the Olympic Games in London.
