Mateus Galiano da Costa

Mateus Galiano da Costa ( born June 19, 1984 in Luanda ) is an Angolan football player. The midfielder is currently playing with the Portuguese club Nacional Funchal, played his first international match against Mauritius on 29 April 2006, and took for his country participated in the World Cup 2006.

Due to its alleged use without a valid contract his former club Gil Vicente was condemned to relegation to the second Portuguese league before the start of the 2006/07 season.

His nickname " Mateus " da Costa has allegedly derived from the German record national player Lothar Matthäus Mateus Galiano.
