Mateus Palace

The Mateuspalast is located in Mateus in Portugal, about 5 kilometers from Vila Real.

The palace was built in 1745. The architect of the palace was Nicolau Nasoni, the palace owned by a Count. The palace is also known for its large park. In the park there is a pond with a nymph - a marble sculpture by José Cutileiro. In Mateuspalast there is a library and living rooms that you can visit. Oil paintings and cabinets with oriental dishes belong to the interior of the palace. Near the palace chapel is in the Baroque style of the 18th century.
