Mateus Vicente de Oliveira

Mateus Vicente de Oliveira ( * 1706 in Bacarena, † 1786 in Lisbon ) was a Portuguese architect of Baroque and Rococo.

He was a pupil of Johann Friedrich Ludwig and Jean -Baptiste Robillon the construction of the Palace of Mafra. After his designs originated in the Royal Palace of Queluz. In 1779 he created the plan of the Basilica da Estrela in Lisbon, whose completion he did not live.
