Mathew Quinn

Mathew Quinn ( born April 17, 1976 in Harare ) is a South African athlete who specialized discipline is the sprint.

Sporting successes

Quinn took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000.

Together with Morne Nagel, Corne du Plessis and Lee Roy Newton he finished second in the 4 x 100 - meter relay in the final at the IAAF 2001 World Championships in Edmonton in second place behind the U.S. quartet. The South Africans improved while the national record to 38.47 s

Due to the subsequent disqualification by the American Tim Montgomery for a doping offense by the South African season in 2005 was awarded the gold medal.

In the Summer Universiade in 1999, Quinn won the bronze medal in the 100 -meter run.
