Mathew Tait

Mathew James Tait ( born February 6, 1986 in Wolsingham, County Durham ) is an English rugby union player. He plays as a goalkeeper, exterior or interior three-quarters three-quarters for the English national team and the Leicester Tigers.

Tait went through numerous youth national teams before he came to the Newcastle Falcons 2003. In May 2004, the first time was on for the club in a Guinness Premiership match, opponents were the London Irish. He managed the same with his first touch of the first attempt of his professional career.

Tait played an important role in winning the silver medal in the 7- rugby at the Commonwealth Games 2006. Laid With nine attempts, he was the top scorer of the competition. He had previously won with England A Churchill Cup.

Shortly before his 19th birthday Tait was the first time for the men's national team of England. However, he then had to wait another 16 months to get a second use. He belonged to the national squad for the World Cup in 2007 and was 21 years and 256 days, the youngest English player who has played a World Cup final. In this he succeeded almost an attempt to ultimately be defeated South Africa.

With the Six Nations 2008 he replaced Mike Tindall after his injury for the duration of the tournament. At the end of the season he moved from Newcastle to the Sale Sharks. In the summer he was taken along on the tour to New Zealand, where he came in one game to use.
