Mathieu Bodmer

Mathieu Bodmer ( born November 22, 1982 in Évreux ) is a French football player.

The midfielder comes from the youth of ALM Evreux in his hometown. His first professional contract he signed at the beginning of the 1997/98 season at the age of 14 years. In Évreux he stayed just this one season in which he brought it to no use.

In 1998 he moved then to SM Caen. While he completed in his first two seasons in Caen no play in the first team, he participated in 24 games in the 2000 /01 season. By 2003, the central midfielder played 79 times for Caen and scored four goals.

At the beginning of the season 2003/ 04 he moved Bodmer in the Ligue 1 for Lille, where he worked in his first season already played 33 games and has since become a regular player.

For the season 2007/ 08 Bodmer moved for eight million euros to Olympique Lyon. He made his debut on the second match against FC Toulouse. He scored his first goal on 29 August 2007 against FC Sochaux, the results led to a 2-1 victory.

Since 2010, the former midfielder of Olympique Lyon is the league rivals Paris Saint- Germain under contract. He signed with the Parisians a contract until 2013.

In January 2013, Bodmer joined shortly before the closure of the transfer window until end of season on loan to AS Saint- Étienne.
