Mathilda May

Mathilda May ( born February 8, 1965 in Paris; actually Karima Mathilda Haim ) is a French actress.

Life

Mathilda May is the daughter of a Scandinavian prima ballerina and a playwright Greco- Turkish origin. She studied ballet for ten years and then decided at 18 years for acting. Already for her first film role in Nemo, she was the best young actress the Romy Schneider Award. Mathilda May was one of the interesting discoveries of the French film of the 1980s, when she worked with great directors like Claude Chabrol and Werner Herzog.

Later, she could not go on from this initial success, however, and could be seen from the mid- 1990s, especially on television.

Short term: Mathilda May also tried his hand as a singer of jazz pieces.
