Matías Carlos Schulz

Matias Carlos Schulz ( born February 12, 1982 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine handball player.

Life

Matías Schulz's great grandfather Karl Hanover emigrated with his wife at the end of the 19th century from the German Empire to Argentina in the capital Buenos Aires. Schulz himself speaks perfect German. In Buenos Aires, he attended the Goethe- school.

With his girlfriend, he has a son (* 2012).

Career

In July 2006, the handball goalkeeper from Buenos Aires joined the German second division Dessau- Roßlauer HV. In the summer of 2008, he joined the Spanish club Helvetia Anaitasuna, who played in the División de Honor B. Only one season later, he joined the League ASOBAL playing BM Antequera. In summer 2010, Schulz signed a contract with Pines BM Badajoz.

National

The 1,90 m tall goalkeeper was so far 102 times for the Argentine national team ( 3 goals ) on the plate and took, among others, the World Handball Championships in Portugal in 2003, partly in 2007 in Germany and 2011 in Sweden. (January 2013) In the summer of 2012, he also took part in the Olympic Games in London.
