Mats Näslund

Mats Näslund ( born October 31, 1959 in Timrå ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player. He is a member of the IIHF Hall of Fame and the Triple Gold Club.

Career

Internationally

Mats Näslund played in various tournaments for the Swedish national team. Even in the youth team of his country, he gained experience. 1978 and 1979, for example, he took the silver and the bronze medal at the World Junior Championships. For the A-Team, he took up at five Ice Hockey World Championships, winning a bronze, a silver and a gold medal in 1991 even. Also at the Canada Cup, he participated three times. Through his participation in the 1994 Winter Olympics and the related Olympic victory since he is part of the Triple Gold Club, that is to the players who have ever won the Stanley Cup, the World Championships and the Olympic Games.
