Matsukura Katsuie

Matsukura Katsuie (Japanese松 仓 胜 家; * 1597, † August 28, 1638 ) was the daimyo of Shimabara and the son of Matsukura Shigemasa. His cruelty contributed to the outbreak of the Shimabara Rebellion. He was known for attracting disobedient peasants then in use in Japan raincoats made ​​of straw and then to light.

Although the rebellion was finally put down successfully, it was " suggested " because of its mismanagement in this situation, to commit seppuku ( hara - kiri ).
