Matt Chamberlain

Matt Chamberlain ( born April 17, 1967 in San Pedro, Los Angeles) is an American drummer and percussionist.

Matt Chamberlain began at the age of 15 years playing drums, took lessons with David Garibaldi, Murray Spivack, Chuck Flores and Greg Bissonette and eventually received a scholarship at North Texas State University. He became known by its short activity for Pearl Jam. Chamberlain was the successor of Dave Krusen and worked in the summer of 1991, just less than a month for Pearl Jam. He can be seen in the video for "Alive".

After participating in different bands Chamberlain had developed by the mid-1990s as one of the most sought after studio drummer of the United States. He played on albums by Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, David Bowie, Elton John, Garbage, Brad Mehldau, Morrissey, The Wallflowers, Robbie Williams among others and has a concise style by which he is often spontaneously recognizable. He is also a permanent member of Tori Amos ' live band.
