Matt Danowski

Matt Danowski ( born August 12, 1985 in Farmingdale, NY) is a professional American lacrosse player.

Danowski plays in the Duke University lacrosse team in attack after he played four years college lacrosse. After the rape scandal of the team that was to follow in the German media, the longtime Duke coach Mike Pressler by Matt Danowskis father John was replaced. After a poor 2006 season, the team managed but again to be among the best in the country, with ultimate contribution of Danowski.

Danowski was nominated for the Tewaaraton Trophy in 2007, as well as for Lt. Raymond Enners Award and the Jack Turnbull Award.

  • 2005: Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year ( Player of the Year )
  • Three-time USILA All-American
