Matt LeBlanc

Matthew Steven LeBlanc ( born July 25, 1967 in Newton, Massachusetts) is an American actor and producer. His father has ancestors from France, Denmark, England and Ireland and his mother is Italo American.

Biography

LeBlanc was known mainly by the Friends series. In this he played for over ten years, the role of the good-looking but not very intelligent Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing from the roommate ( Matthew Perry ), who struggles through life as a penniless actor.

After the end of the series, the sitcom Joey was started as a spin -off. You will be the official sequel, because LeBlanc was continuing his character from the series in it. Due to poor ratings, the series was canceled after two seasons by the leadership of NBC.

At the beginning of his career, LeBlanc was especially successful with advertisements and commercials, for example, Levi's, Coca -Cola, Doritos and Heinz ketchup. The Heinz Ketchup commercial was in 1987 awarded in Cannes at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.

In 1991 he received together with Joseph Bologna the lead role in the series Top of the Heap, a spin -off of the hit series Married with Children, in which he had three guest appearances. LeBlanc plays Vinnie Verducci, who tried with his father Charlie to come to more or less legal ways to make money. On 3 May 2003, he married his longtime girlfriend Melissa McKnight in Hawaii. With her he has a daughter (* 2004). The couple separated on January 1, 2006. Divorce followed on 6 October 2006.
