Matt Stover

Matt Stover ( born January 27, 1968 in Dallas, Texas ) is an American former American football player at the position of the kicker. He mainly played for the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League ( NFL). Stover applies at a rate of 83.7 % as one of the most accurate kicker the NFL.

College

He played college football for Louisiana Tech University and scored 64 field goals in 88 attempts. With a field goal from 57 yards, he set a school record.

NFL

In 1990 he was selected by the New York Giants in the NFL Draft and moved in 1991 to the Cleveland Browns. In 1996 he went to the Baltimore Ravens and won them the Super Bowl (Super Bowl XXXV). In 2009 he was hired by the Indianapolis Colts, after their kicker Adam Vinatieri was injured. With the Colts, he reached a place in Super Bowl XLIV.
