Matthew Gray (archer)

Matthew Gray (* June 24, 1973 in Yea ) is an Australian archer. He participated in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, 2000 Sydney and 2008 Beijing part.

Career

Matthew Gray started archery at the age of seven years. In 1988 he took part in the Junior World Championships and won bronze. Gray missed qualifying for the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona for a place. At the world championships in archery in 1994 Matthew Gray won the bronze medal. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta Gray finished with the team to fourth place in individual ranked 26th in the Olympic Games in his home country in 2000 in Sydney, he could only prove disappointing 36th place in singles. With the team he was twelfth.

2010 Gray won at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi the gold medal in the team competition with the recurve bow.
