Matthew Rhys

Matthew Rhys Evans ( born November 8, 1974 in Cardiff ) is a Welsh actor.

Life

Rhys studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. After minor appearances in several television series and a role in Elizabeth Rhys went to New Zealand in 1998. There he played in the television series Greenstone.

1999 Rhys played alongside Anthony Hopkins and Jessica Lange in Titus and in the comedy Whatever Happened to Harold Smith?. In 2000 he went back for the lead role in Metropolis to England. In the same year he co-starred with Jonathan Pryce in the film drama The Miracle of Taliesin Jones. Furthermore, played Matthew Rhys from 2000 on the side of Kathleen Turner in the stage version of The Graduate. In 2001, he was seen in the television miniseries The Lost World. Most recently, he co-starred with Brittany Murphy in Love and Other Disasters.

From 2006-2011 Matthew was seen in the television series Brothers & Sisters, and was appointed in 2013 alongside Keri Russell to the main cast of the FX drama series The Americans.
