Matthew Williamson

Matthew Williamson ( born October 23, 1971 in Chorlton, Manchester ) is a British fashion designer.

Life and career

Matthew Williamson was born in Chorlton, Manchester where he grew up and went to school. With 17 him a place at the prestigious Central St. Martins School was offered, which he successfully with a Bachelor in Fashion Design ended in 1994. He then spent two years working as a consultant to the London fashion company " Monsoon ", including in India. An initiative calling the British " Vogue" got him a meeting with the fashion assistant Plum Sykes. Due to the positive reactions to his pieces encouraged Williamson designed a small women's collection, which was shown at a fashion show. His debut collection at London Fashion Week was called " Electric Angels". Jade Jagger, Helena Christensen and Kate Moss presented his creations. In September 2007, I founded my own company, " The Matthew Williamson Fashion Company " followed. His mother Maureen is also his office manager.

For H & M Williamson designed a women's and men's collections including accessories, which came on the market in May 2009.
