Matthias Krizek ( born September 29, 1988 in Vienna) is an Austrian cyclist.

Sports career

Matthias Krizek began as an eight- year-old with children's triathlon. He soon realized that his strengths were on the wheel, and he rose with a final 15 years in the sport of cycling.

Krizek was initially trained by his father from the age of 12 by Greg Gaines, one originating from the U.S. sports scientists. He went through the youth teams, where he was able to celebrate one of his greatest successes at the Trofeo Karlberg.

Since 2007 Mathias Krizek is professional and was initially committed by the team Radland Tyrol Tyrol. In 2011 he moved to Italy to Marchiol, the farm team of Liquigas, where he got a contract as a stagiaire in August, 2012.
