Matti Ahde

Matti Ahde Allan ( born December 23, 1945 in Oulu) is a Finnish sports official, politician and member of the Social Democratic Party of Finland (SDP ).

Ahde sat from 1970 to 1990 for the SDP in the Finnish Parliament. 1987/88 he was President of the Parliament and from 1982 to 1987 he was a member in various posts the governments Kalevi Sorsas to. He was from February 1982 to May 1983 Minister of the Interior and from October 1983 to April 1987, the first Minister of the Environment of Finland.

From 1977 to 1995 he was chairman of the Finnish Sports Federation TUL workers. From 1990 to 2001 he was a board member of the Finnish lottery company Veikkaus. Since 2003 he has been president of the Finnish Floorball Association SSBL. From 2003 to 2011 he was also a second time in the Finnish Parliament.

Ahde is married since 1977 with Hilkka Marketta Ahde ( born Riikonen ), the couple has three children.
