Mattia Cassani
Mattia Cassani ( born August 26, 1983 in Borgomanero ) is an Italian football player who is under contract at Fiorentina in Serie A since 2011.
Career
Association
Mattia Cassani began his career in the youth team of Juventus. In the season 2002/ 03 graduated in the UEFA Champions League his first professional match for Juventus. He could never prevail in Turin and played a single league game for the Turin. In January 2003, the club gave him until the end of the season at Sampdoria. On 10 May 2003 he made his debut for the Blucerchiati in Serie B, as it was used in the match against Ternana Calcio. After the end of the loan period, he returned to Juventus, but signed only a little later a contract with Hellas Verona. In his first season in Verona he ran in 37 league appearances for Hellas and could at the Venetians earn a regular place. In the following two years he succeeded with Verona relegation in Serie B to secure, he stayed in the season 2005 /06 with the team but only three points above the relegation zone.
On 1 July 2006, the Italian first division side U.S. Palermo announced the commitment of the defender. Also in Palermo managed Cassani quickly jump into the trunk squad. On April 6, 2008 at the home game against his boyhood club Juventus he managed his first Profitor. With the winning goal in the 84th minute, he was responsible for the 3-2 victory over the Turin Palermo.
In the season 2009/10 he formed together with Cesare Bovo, Simon Kjær and Federico Balzaretti the back four of the Sicilians. In the summer of 2011, he left the club and moved on loan to Premier League rivals Fiorentina. Prior to the 2013/2014 season Cassani was awarded again: For one season he signed a contract at FC Parma.
National
Cassani was used in 2003 in six games in the U -20 in Italy. After he was called up on June 6, 2009 for the friendly against Northern Ireland and on 14 November 2009 against the Netherlands for Italy in the squad, he made his debut four days later Azzurra 's 1-0 victory over Sweden for the Squadra.
