Mattias Ekholm
Mattias Ekholm (born 24 May 1990 in Borlänge) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is since 2011 at the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League under contract and playing in parallel for their farm team in Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Career
Mattias Ekholm began his career as a hockey player with the Mora IK, for the first team he in the 2007/ 08 season his debut in the Elitserien, the highest Swedish league, gave, however, he came only to a single use during the main round. In his rookie year he went with the team in the Kvalserien in the subprime HockeyAllsvenskan from, where he spent the following two years with Mora. For the 2010/11 season he was bound by the Elitserien participants Brynäs IF, in which he was able to convince at first go. Following his first full Elitserien game time the defender was named Elitserien Rookie of the Year.
In May 2011, Ekholm signed a contract with the Nashville Predators, who had chosen him already in the NHL Entry Draft in 2009 in the fourth round as a total of 102 players. However, for the Predators he first only two point -less games in the National Hockey League, while he spent the remainder of the season 2011/12 Players out on loan as at Brynäs IF in the Elitserien. With the team he was at the end of the season the Swedish championship. In addition, he received the Salming Trophy as the best Swedish defender outside the NHL. For the 2012/13 season the links Sagittarius was included in the squad of Nashville's farm team Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Internationally
For Sweden Ekholm took part in the junior level at the U18 World Youth Championship in 2008 and the Under-20 Junior World Cup in 2010. At the 2010 U20 World Championships he won the bronze medal with his team. In the senior level, he stood in the years 2011 and 2012 in the squad of his country at the Euro Hockey Tour.
