Mattias Gustafsson ( born July 11, 1978 in Åkersberga ) is a Swedish handball player. He is 1.93 m tall and weighs 104 kg.

Gustafsson for the German club TuS N- Lübbecke ( back number 3) plays and runs for the Swedish men's national handball team is usually used at the county runners.

In his youth, Mattias Gustafsson was still playing at Åkersberga and Skånela before he came Polisen / Söder for Stockholm club. Here he made his debut in the first Swedish League. In 1999, Gustafsson to Norway Viking Stavanger, where he won the 2000 Norwegian Cup. After just one year, however, he returned to Sweden, where he joined the Skovde. There he won the 2004 EHF Challenge Cup, in 2005 he reached the finals of the Swedish Championship, where he was defeated, however, the IK Sävehof. 2006 Gustafsson went to Denmark for FCK Håndbold. With the capital club, he won in the 2006/07 season, the Danish championship round, but bowed out of the play- offs. Finally, a year later he won the Danish championship with FCK. In summer 2008, Gustafsson joining AaB Håndbold, with whom he won the Danish Championship 2010. In summer 2010, he moved to TuS N- Lübbecke.

Mattias Gustafsson has been disputed 102 caps for the Swedish national team. For the World Cup 2007 in Germany, he could not qualify with Sweden; at the 2008 European Championships in Norway he belonged only to the extended line-up of his country. In summer 2012, he participated in the Olympics in London and won the silver medal.

On June 27, 2009 Gustafsson married the Women's Handball Madeleine Grundström.
