Maucourt (Somme)

Maucourt ( Picard: Moucourt ) is a northern French village with 162 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier, in the canton of Rosières -en- Santerre and is part of the Communauté de communes du Santerre.

Geography

The church in the countryside Santerre is about 5 km east-southeast of Rosières -en- Santerre at the department D39 road and south of the railway line Amiens Laon. In the northern part of the community is a great French military cemetery.
