Maui County, Hawaii

Maui County is a county located in the state of Hawaii of the United States of America. It includes the islands of Maui, Kahoolawe, Lanai and the greater part of Molokai (except Kalawao ).

The population in 2000 was 128 094. Estimates from July 2003 start from 135 605 inhabitants. The area of ​​Maui County is 6,213 square kilometers, of which a little more than half ( 51.67 %) is water.

The county seat is Wailuku.
