The Maulbronner Chamber Choir is a German choir.

Biography

The choir was founded in 1983 and developed each year - in addition to oratorio literature, which according to his own statement lists the choir in historical performance practice - a spiritual and a secular a cappella program, focusing on the literature of the 19th and 20th centuries lies. Seat of the choir is the monastery Maulbronn.

The choir won first prizes in national and international competitions, including victory at the 5th German Choir Competition in Regensburg in 1998. During the 11th International Chamber Choir Competition Marktoberdorf 2009 reached the chorus, the power stage I " International excellent" and was awarded a second prize. This badge has been crowned by the special prize for the best interpretation of sacred choral works. In the same year the Maulbronner Chamber Choir won two first prizes at the 3rd International Choir Competition in Malta 2009 and therefore won the categories "Spiritual A cappella " and " Musica profana ".

Etc. The choir has been invited to the Ettlinger Schloss Festival, the Chamber Music Series of the Dresden Philharmonic, the cloister concerts in Walkenried monastery to the 1st International Festival days clergyman Music in Rottenburg am Neckar or the European Music Festival Passau. He has performed in 1983 in the United States, with concerts in New York and Indianapolis, connected with participation in the Festival of Music in New Harmony / Indiana. More toured through several European countries, Israel and Argentina ( 1993, 1997 ), South Africa, Namibia ( 2001). In the fall of 2003, the third South American tour followed, with concerts in Argentina and Uruguay. In 2007, the Maulbronner Chamber Choir traveled again to a half week concert tour to South Africa.
