Maurice Bucaille

Maurice Bucaille ( born July 19, 1920 in Pont- l'Évêque; † 17 February 1998) was a French surgeon, scientist, scholar.

He published in 1976 the book, La Bible, le Coran et la science (German Bible, Quran and Science), in which he outlines his research into the Judeo-Christian Revelation and the Qur'an. The book has been translated into several languages, including English and German.

His book Les Momies of pharaons et la médecine in 1988 awarded the awarded by the Académie française Diane Potier Boès price with a silver medal.

Some of the statements in his book " Moses and Pharaoh " are now being criticized by Egyptologists. Bucailles assertion, one can conclude on the divine origin of the Koran from the discovery of the name " Haman " in Egyptian hieroglyphics, referred to as Erhart Graefe of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität as " noisy nonsense."
