Maurice Edu ( born April 18, 1986 in Fontana, California) is an American football player.

Career

Club career

Edu played three years in college team from the University of Maryland and was included in the 2006 College All- Star team before being registered as a Generation Adidas players for the MLS SuperDraft 2007. In the Draft he was selected by league newcomer Toronto FC as the first pick. Toronto finished the first season in the MLS with the bottom of the table, but Edu was the Rookie of the Year selected.

On August 17, 2008 it was announced that Edu Transfer for a transfer fee of 2.6 million pounds for the Glasgow Rangers. With the Rangers, he received a five -year contract. His debut in the Scottish Premier League, he celebrated 13 September 2008 in a 2-1 home victory over Kilmarnock FC.
