Maurice Lafont

Maurice Lafont (* September 13, 1927 in Villeneuve -Saint -Georges, Val- de -Marne, † April 8, 2005 ) was a French football player and coach.

In the club

The center-half, whose parents had moved during the German occupation of southern France, played in the youth and young-adult than for the CS Cheminots, a railway workers' sports club in Nimes. In 1950 he moved to local rivals Nîmes Olympique, for whom he played his first game in Division 1 in April 1950.
