Maurice Le Boucher

Maurice Le Boucher ( born May 25, 1882 in Isigny -sur -Mer, † September 9, 1964 in Paris) was a French composer, organist and music teacher.

Le Boucher studied at the Conservatoire de Paris under Gabriel Fauré. In 1907 he won the Prix de Rome. He became a teacher at the École Niedermeyer and organist at the parish church of Saint -Germain l'Auxerrois. In 1917 he published an Organ Symphony in E major.

From 1920 to 1944 Le Boucher headed the Conservatory of Montpellier. His most famous student was the composer André David.
