Maurice Ponga

Maurice Ponga ( born June 5, 1947 in Kouaoua, New Caledonia ) is a French politician of The Rally - UMP.

Life

From 1995 to 2009, Ponga deputy in the Parliament of New Caledonia. In the reign of Harold Martin, he was Minister of Youth and Sports in New Caledonia. Since 2009 Member of the European Parliament of Ponga. Ponga is opposed to the independence movement in New Caledonia, who wants to break away from France.
