Mauricio Solís

Mauricio Solís Mora ( born December 13, 1972 in Heredia ) is a former Costa Rican football player.

Solís began playing football with his hometown club CS Herediano. There, the midfielder was also from 1990 to his first stakes in the first Costa Rican league. With the club, who was still Costa Rican record champion, he won in 1993 and their so far last title. After that he went three years abroad, played a short time at Derby County in England, Guatemala and San Jose Clash in the USA. In 2000 he returned for two years in Costa Rica at that series champions LD Alajuelense and took twice the national championship. After two years in Greece and Mexico, followed by a further year at Alajuelense with the third championship in 2005. Since he plays in Guatemala at CSD Comunicaciones.

The internationally experienced Mauricio Solís is since many years a fixture in the national team of Costa Rica and has had since its debut in 1993 after most capped player Luis Marín with 110 games, the most inserts. How Marín he was present at the Football World Cup 2002 in Asia and the Football World Cup 2006 in Germany and played in all World Cup games in his country.
