Maurizio Gaudino

Maurizio Gaudino ( born December 12, 1966 in Brühl ) is a former German football player and coach.

In the Bundesliga, he was in 294 games for the SV Waldhof Mannheim, VfB Stuttgart, Eintracht Frankfurt and VfL Bochum active. With the VfB 1992 he became German champion.

Career

In the club

Gaudino, whose parents immigrated from Italy to Germany, learned to play football at TSG Rheinau until 1980 when he joined to Waldhof Mannheim in the B- youth. His first professional game he played in 1984., After seven years in Mannheim in 1987, he moved to VfB Stuttgart, with whom he became German champion in 1992. In 1993 he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt. After convincing performance, he was appointed by Berti Vogts for the first time in the German national team. He was subsequently sentenced for incitement to commit fraud, and aid to simulate a criminal offense in two cases to two years ' imprisonment and to pay a fine of 180,000 DM.
