Mauro Bellugi

Mauro Bellugi ( born February 7, 1950 in Buonconvento (SI), Italy ) is a retired Italian footballer.

Career

Mauro Bellugi began his career in the youth from Inter Milan, where he came into the first team in 1969. In 137 Serie A games for the Nerazzuri he could score a goal. 1970/71 he won the Italian championship with the team. In the following season, he reached the final of the Inter European Champions Cup, which they lost against Ajax Amsterdam 0-2. 1974 moved to FC Bologna Bellugi, who had become a year before the change Italian Cup Winners' Cup. In four years, Bologna Bellugi could not win a title. In 1979 he spent a year with the SSC Napoli and later to the newly promoted AC Pistoiese. The team immediately rose again and Bellugi finished as 31- year-old 's career.

International played Mauro Bellugi 32 times for Italy, but was able to achieve a goal. He made his debut on October 7, 1972 against Luxembourg. Bellugi participated in the FIFA World Cup in 1974 partly in Germany, where he retired with the Squadra Azzurra as a group third in the first round. In the 1978 World Cup in Argentina, he was five times and was used with the national team in fourth in the tournament. His last major appearance was the midfielder at the European Football Championship 1980 in the home. He was also fourth with Italy.
