Mausoleum of Sheikh Zaynudin

The Saineddin - Baba Mausoleum in Tashkent is the tomb of Sheikh Saineddin, located in the west of the center, the suburb Shaykhontohur.

Saineddin was a follower of the Sufi Order Suhrawardiyya. His life data are unknown, but he should have become over 90 years old. Maybe he was the son of the Founder Diya ad-Din Abu ' n- Najib as- Suhrawardi (1097-1168) and was commissioned to spread the Sufi teachings in the Tashkent region.

The mausoleum itself was in 15-16. Century built. It has a floor area of 16 m × 18 m and is 20 m high. In the 12th century subterranean living rooms were dated, in which the Sheikh to 40-day meditation practice is said to have withdrawn.
