Max Friberg

Max Friberg (* November 20, 1992 in Skövde ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is since June 2013 at the Anaheim Ducks under contract since April 2013 playing for the Norfolk Admirals in the American Hockey League.

Career

Max Friberg began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Skövde IK, for the seniors team, he was active in the third-tier Division 1 2008-2011. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2011 in the fifth round as a total 143 players from the Anaheim Ducks. First, however, the winger stayed in his native Sweden and moved to the 2011/12 season for Timrå IK, for the first team he in the Elitserien, the highest Swedish league, was on the ice.

In June 2012, he received from the Anaheim Ducks a NHL entry-level contract term of three years and was borrowed for the following season at the Timrå IK. After the season in the Elitserien, the Ducks Friberg brought to North America and then put him in the Norfolk Admirals in the American Hockey League.

Internationally

For Friberg Sweden participated in the U18 Junior World Cup in 2010 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2011 and 2012 in part. At the 2010 U18 World Cup he won with his team the silver medal and the gold medal at the 2012 U20 World Cup.
