Max Knapp

Max Knapp ( born November 13, 1899 in Zurich, † December 16, 1979 in Basel) was a Swiss actor.

Life

Son of the wood sculptor Max Knapp and Emilie Herchert. During the sculptor apprenticeship with his father, he made a drama and vocal training. He played at the Stadttheater Zurich, at the Stadttheater St. Gallen as well as in today's Wuppertal in Germany. From 1928 until his death he performed during more than half a century in the city of Basel Theatre. He was seen in more than 900 theater opera and operetta roles. He staged from 1947, itself

He had his first screen appearance in 1924 in The Origin of Confederation. The second film in which Knapp was involved, The woman and the death is considered lost.
