Max Neal

Max Neal ( born March 26, 1865 in Munich, † January 1, 1941 in Munich) was a Bavarian poet of Bauernschwänken.

The son of an American painter visited the local military school and studied at the University of Munich. After that he lived in his hometown as a freelance writer. Since 1892, he was editor of the Journal of Würzburg, later editor of the Munich newspaper. By 1911, he published under the pseudonym Maximilian Dalhoff.
