Max Parker

Max Parker ( born July 12, 1882 in Prescott, Arizona, † July 8, 1964 in Torrance, California ) was an American art director and production designer, who was nominated for the Academy Awards in 1943 for the Academy Award for Best Production Design.

Life

Parker began his career as an art director and production designer in the film industry in Hollywood in 1916 with the silent film The Victoria Cross by Edward LeSaint and worked until 1947 in the production of almost 100 films.

At the Academy Awards in 1943 he was with Mark -Lee Kirk and Casey Roberts for the Academy Award for Best Production Design in the black and white film Our sweet home ( George Washington slept here, 1942) nominated, one directed by William Keighley film comedy with Jack Benny, Ann Sheridan and Charles Coburn in the lead roles.
