Max Sciandri

Maximilian Sciandri (born 15 February 1967 Derby) is a former Italian - British cyclist.

Career

Sciandria is the son of an Italian father and a British mother and was up to his 29th year of life an Italian citizen. Since he saw no chance to be considered for the Italian team at the World Championships and Olympic Games, he took in 1996 to the British Nationality and was nominated for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. There, he managed to win the bronze medal in individual road race.

Sciandri from 1989 to May 20, 2004 professional and was last at Team CSC under contract.
