Max Weiler

Career

Max Weiler was born on September 25, 1900 to the world. He was, as brought his younger brother Walter, by his older brother Eugene for football. This was chosen in 1915 for the first president of the newly formed SC Veltheim and pulled his five brothers there after.

Max Weiler played from 1922 to Veltheim in the National League B, the later defender first played as a striker. Hamlet grew along with Veltheim in the summer of 1924 in the National League A on. In his first season in 1924/25 Weiler has been appointed to the national team, becoming the only player Veltheims who ever played in the national team.

In the next season Weiler moved to Zurich to the Grasshoppers, where he remained until the end of his career. With GC hamlet ever four times Swiss champion (1927, 1928, 1931 and 1937 ) and five Swiss Cup Winner (1926, 1927, 1932, 1934, and 1937). In the National Team from 1931 to 1934 he was captain and took over as national team at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 1924 and got there with the team silver. Also at the 1934 World Cup in Italy, he was one of the party. He trained with the national team with Rudolf Ramseyer and later with Severino Minelli 's central defense.

After the end of his career hamlet was 1942-1947 coach of FC Schaffhausen.

Weiler passed away on September 1, 1969, at the age of 68 years.
