Maxime Talbot

Maxime Talbot (born 11 February 1984 in LeMoyne, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since October 2013 when the Colorado Avalanche of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

The 1.80 m wide center began his professional career with various teams in the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL before he selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 as a 234 in the eighth round by the Pittsburgh Penguins ( drafted ) was. It Talbot scored both goals in the decisive 2-1 win in Detroit Joe Louis Arena and became the match winner in the decisive seventh game of the Stanley Cup.

On 1 July 2011, the free agent agreed to a long-term contract with the Philadelphia Flyers. On October 31, 2013, was transferred from the Flyers to Colorado Avalanche, Philadelphia received in return the winger Steve Downie.

Internationally

With the Canadian national team Maxime Talbot won the silver medal at the U20 World Youth Championship 2004 in Helsinki. During the tournament, the striker served as an assistant captain and scored three assists in six games.
