Maxthon

Maxthon (formerly " MyIE2 ") is an advanced web browser in China, the beginning of the Trident rendering engine of Internet Explorer is used, but it offered more features than this. The browser used in version 3, the rendering engine WebKit; only in exceptional cases, use is made of Trident.

History

The first version (0.1 ) was published on 11 July 2002 under the name " MyIE2 " and later, after the 18 March 2004, renamed and further developed in " Maxthon ".

Technical details

Maxthon originally sat on Trident and complements them with functions that up to version 6 did not offer the Internet Explorer, such as the " Tabbed Browsing " (also called " tabbed browsing ").
