Maxwell Medal and Prize
The Maxwell medal (English Maxwell Medal ) of the Institute of Physics is a prize for theoretical physics, awarded in 1961 and is aimed at encouraging younger physicists. The award is named after James Clerk Maxwell. By 1970, he was awarded every even-numbered years, then annually. It is connected with a bronze medal and endowed with £ 1,000.
