May McAvoy

May McAvoy ( born September 18, 1901 in New York City; † April 26, 1984 in Sherman Oaks, California ) was an American actress.

Life

Career

McAvoy came directly from high school 15 -year-old to the film and was promoted shortly after the end of World War I to a popular artist canvas. Their most famous films are Lady Windermere's Fan 1925 and The Jazz Singer of the Year 1927.

From 1939 they were at irregular intervals with small and very small roles guest performances in front of the camera. Recently she was seen in 1957 in canyon of doom.

Private

May McAvoy was married from 1929 until his death in 1973 with Maurice Cleary, the then Vice-President and Treasurer of the United Artists and later assistant to the president of Lockheed Aircraft.

She was buried at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, California.
